Hover Challenges
Participants take it in turns to hold the helicopter in a hover for as long as possible. Once airborne the instructor will establish a steady hover and instruct the student how to use the
three controls needed to maintain it. When the student is ready he or she will be invited to take these controls one at a time, mastering each one until eventually all three are being controlled simultaneously. Not easy – but exhilarating for the budding pilot and highly entertaining for those watching! The winner is the student who holds the aircraft in a hover for the longest time.
