Here at Staffordshire Helicopters Training we can supply everything you need for completing your PPL(H) as well as flight instruction including, ground training and examinations, bags, maps, navigation equipment, clothing, books and log books.
Our team is composed of professional and experienced certified flight instructors who can give helicopter flight training for pleasure or business. If you decide to make a career in rotary wing aviation we can train you for a commercial pilot license. If you are a fixed wing pilot, Staffordshire Helicopters Training can also train you for a helicopter rating. Our goal is to create a safe and knowledgeable helicopter pilot in a friendly and enjoyable environment. The whole experience is totally customised to suit individual needs and to your time constraints and availability. We operate the Robinson R22 Beta, R44 Raven I clipper and Raven 11 and the Enstrom 280 FX as a CAA Type Rating Training Organisation can grant ratings on the R22, R44 and from Autumn 2012 we are looking at the Turbine R66 . Maximum seat weight for training is 220 Lbs in the R22 and up to 260 Lbs in the R44.
We can conduct ground instruction here at our heliport and, as our chief instructor Andy, is a CAA qualified examiner there is no requirement to go anywhere else for your rating associated examinations. The ground training course has been meticulously designed and co-ordinated and instruction is delivered to the highest standards.
We also offer flight instruction on your own personal R22 or R44. The aircraft needs to be fully insured and the instructor’s name is to appear on the Policy.
Staffordshire Helicopter Training promise to make your training as straight forward as possible. We coordinate everything from all of your educational materials, pilot supplies, accommodation, transportation, arranging your medical examination, to scheduling examinations and flight tests.
All flight and ground training is conducted in English under the Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA/JAA) for the PPL(H).
